Connect Sports 2016 will be held in Grapevine, Texas, August 25-27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. Registration starts at $3,950 with additional registrations for $1,750.
Qualified planners pay a $200 registration fee that will be returned at the end of the conference if all appointments are kept.
Planners and suppliers, please visit the travel and transportation section of the website for hotel accommodations, travel and ground transpiration information.
Planners, if something comes up at the last minute and you need to cancel, we will provide a complete refund if we haven’t released appointment schedules and we haven’t already booked your airfare. The schedules are released approximately two weeks prior to show date. All cancellation requests must be in writing.
Refunds will be given to planners during breaks in Marketplace appointments on the final day of the event.
Planners and suppliers will receive an email from email@example.com stating that the appointment request process is open. Mutual requests get priority, then planner requests are granted, followed by supplier requests. It is not a first-come, first-served process. As long as you complete your requests by the designated end date, your appointment selections will be granted the appropriate priority.
A few helpful hints: First, review whom you’d like to meet. When requesting appointments, you can arrange them in order of preferences using a tab on the right. If someone has requested you and you’re interested in event with them, request them back to increase the likelihood of receiving that appointment on your schedule. The Collaborate Marketplace portal can be used with Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. Both are available to download for free. If you are still having difficulty processing your appointment requests after downloading Firefox or Chrome, contact us.
Our innovative system matches planners and suppliers for individual appointments based on their requests and additional factors. Planners sit in designated spots and suppliers have two minutes to travel between appointments. A chime signifies the beginning and end of each appointment.
We think the Connect Sports-USOC SportsLink and NGB Best Practices partnership will change the way the sports travel market does business. But with that change comes, well, change. In order to better serve rights holders and suppliers, here are some of the frequently asked questions we’ve received. If you have more questions you don’t see answered, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Director of Connect Sports, Patrick Higgins, at 678-987-9928 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your time is important. Your travel budget may be limited. The decision to combine the Connect Sports Marketplace, Olympic SportsLink, and the NGB Best Practices Seminar was made with you in mind. All-Access Connect Sports Marketplace attendees can now interact with 200+ USOC and NGB professionals and 250+ rights holders and sports planners in one trip. That’s 400+ rights holders, sports planners, NGB event professionals, and NGB Executive Directors/CEOs with one plane ticket, and one hotel stay. Last year’s Connect Sports Marketplace was the single largest gathering of rights holders and sports planners in North America. This year will be even bigger and better.
